Sociální distance ve stratifikačním systému ČR
Sociální distance budou studovány pomocí dvou výzkumů, vstupní kvalitativní sondy a reprezentativního šetření v dospělé populaci. Zkoumán bude stratifikační prostor bez existujících apriorních klasifikací (typu status či třída). Ambicí je zmapování celého stratifikačního prostoru včetně skupin lidí nezařazených ve standardním pracovním procesu. K tomu bude využito především metody měření subjektivní sociální distance a percepce sociálních nerovností. Aplikace tohoto přístupu umožní hledat odpověď na základní otázku, zda se v naší společnosti formují disjunktní, relativně homogenní sociální skupiny, které lze považovat za sociální třídy. Cílem bude stanovit relativní vzdálenosti a tedy i míru jejich uzavření. Získané subjektivní distance budou porovnány s objektivními. Zkoumána bude také predikční síla standardních koncepcí operacionalizace sociálního postavení. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována odlišnostem v percepci sociálních nerovností mezi muži a ženami.
Social Distances in Stratification System of the Czech Republic
Social distance in stratification space will be studied without using prior classification (like status or
class) through two studies: an input qualitative research, and a representative survey of the adult
population. The goal is to map the whole stratification space including the groups of people who are
out of the labour market without apriory classification (status or class). A subjective social distance
method and perception of social inequalities will be used including their media discourse. This
approach allows looking for the answer to the basic question whether there are disjunctive
relatively homogenous social groups being formed in Czech society which could be considered
social classes by a public. The aim is to calibrate their relative distance and thus the level of their
closure. The obtained subjective distances will be compared with the objective ones. Particular
attention will be paid to differences in the perception of social inequalities between men and
women.
